No energy consumption specs that I could find easily. Sent off an
email, and got the following response (I kid you not):
*****
" Hi Wayne,

Worst case scenario, if door is left open all year long and compressor
is running all year long then, it would be 0.44 kWh x 24hrs/day x 365
days = 3854.4 kW Thanks!" <jon bond, jonatgalasource.com>

Between the brain-dead ghio-ish number, the fact that all their
readily available literature doesn't state the consumption, and the
sky-high price, it's hard to figure out what might be "smart" about
the model. :-)

Found this one with "smart" in the description
http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/E522B.html, but it can't be
what you're talking about either because it uses 40% *more* energy per
cu.ft. than our 11 year old model.

Oh well, here's hoping there really have been some breakthroughs, that
somebody will post a link, and that Jon doesn't decide to hang out his
"power consultant" shingle. :-)

hahahah. he forgot the additional 0.05 kw (not kWh, dammit)
of demand from the refrigerator light!

which would add another 40 something kw-hr to the annual total.

I hate it when my fingers slip like
that. The actual number would be something
like 400 (four hundred) kw-hr/yr additional.

(0.05 kw [enter], 24 [times], 365 [times] )

display shwos... 438
