Solar water heating thoughts?

Posted by no spam on April 10, 2007, 7:51 am Please log in for more thread options I just acquired some 55 gal drums, unfortunately they were/are oil (gear and hydraulic oil) drums so using them as water containers isn't really an option. My first thought is to try to make a solar water heater (cut top off, put pipe in, weld top on, fill with water and paint it black). Any other thoughts on how I could use them? Make musical instruments Using a bowling ball, Concave the bottoms. Then using a punch pin isolate eight bells in the concave bottom. Cut barrel off to desired length and temper metal. Steel Drums!
