This could be a very big $ystem! 6KW, times 8 hours per night plus a fudge
factor for inefficiency gives you a requirement for well over 48 KWH/day. You
would need a battery that was good for several times that to carry you through
low wind days. You need to rethink!
First, find some more efficient lamps and verify that you really need that
many lumens to light your area. Doing your design properly at the very start
is vital because the price or your system will vary directly with the power
needed. You could easily waste thousands by buying a system that does not match
your needs.
Second, you need to tell us more about your area. Any idea of the average
wind? Any high trees buildings or nearby terrain to screw up your wind flow?
How about available sunlight? (solar may be a better idea) How many hours per
night will you need the lamps to run? If these are security lights, could some
of them be connected to motion detectors to lower the average power needed? Any
local zoning that will cause you problems over the noise from the plant or the
high mounting structure that you will need?
