Well, I just educated him about one issue of towers already.

Usenet is not for the timid. He could have started with a more sensible question
for example. Like ... "is this a good idea" for example.

Yo! Wake up and read the thread!!

He never mentioned vertical turbines until you brought it up. He asked
about *tower* manufacturers and *towers* that allow you to service the unit
from the ground. As in a tower that can be easily raised and lowered so you
don't have to climb the durn thing.
