I can vaguely remember a taxi next door running on one of these when I was
small.



A few things come out of very hazy memories of this, that you could check
out.



1/ If using the gas to drive an engine you need to filter the gas, as the
small particles can wear out the engine.



2/ I seem to recall that the gas produced was poisonous, maybe carbon
monoxide?

My Dad built one of these and had it attached to an old Chevy Apache.
He actually made it to work for quite a while on it. I remember
cutting wood as a child and shoveling wood chips into barrels for his
trips to work. He worked 40 miles from home, so it was a well tested
system. I recall that he made the front page of the paper for this
one. It generates a great deal of interest to see a truck outfitted
with tanks, and cooling fins running down the road. I think we still
have some of the old books he used for research back then.

I would have loved to have seen that. Nowadays (I live in California)
they'd probably put someone in prison for drving such a thing down "their"
highways.

if you get this working please let us know how it works and advice on how
to build one.. wood is the one thing I've got .. and water .. sun not so
much!

i'm just setting up my hydro system with the new stater in the alternaor
