Over the past 5 years with the help of Solar Alt Energy Group I have
managed to cover over half of my heating requirements. Iam now retired
& working on an old salt box. Two storey, 24/30 ft, built with square
nails. I have installed approx 160 sq ft of solar hot air panels using
fibreglass furnace material for the absorber & exhausting to the
basement storage room, filled with 45 gallon plastic drums.

On the ceiling of the storage room I have 200 ft of pex pipe to
preheat the hot water tank, which is also located in the storage
room.

Now I would like to start & take this unit off grid, one room at a
time & I'm starting by building my own VAWT. It's really good to see
other people trying to reduce their consumption.
I've enjoyed reading this group & hearing their ideas.
Thanks, Kirk
