The shaft is about six inches including the coupler (it kind of looks
longer in the pictures now that I look at it). Mostly due to the way the
barrel is shaped there are two handle indentations in the plastic which
made securing the nozzles a lot easier. I think I could probably move up
2 more inches and still use the lid mount. Its kind of slick because you
can just pull the lid off with the motor and wheel.
I'm thinking i'll probably have to build a frame around it too, depending
on how much side to side motion that motor gets. I do have another
barrel I can play with so if I need to cut the shaft length down thats
something I can do.
I also want to separate the wheel from the motor as much as I can get
away with just to keep the splash away from it .. as a general rule. I
don't know how much that would matter, but I figured the motor wouldn't
like being wet all the time.
