Yea. In order to produce enough electricity to meed the needs of our
society it would take an awful lot of solar panels and/or collectors. I
don't think roofs would be enough surface area but covering all the roads is
a good idea. Maybe they could raise gas taxes to pay for it.

That sounds kind of silly, but something on the order of Peltier junctions
might not be incredibly insane. Even a study on piezo electric generators
might be interesting. For that matter, placing permanent magnets with coils
under the roads might be even cheaper and easier.

Michael, I have several electric vehicles, each of which is charged with
nuclear energy. It would be entertaining to see you try to plant your sign in
front of my place. I kinda wish you would, as I have a nice new 12 gauge
shotgun that needs testing.

For once I agree with your stance on gun ownership john ;~)))))

I'll bet on the reliability of photovoltaic panels and wind generators
over your "reliable" nuclear energy grid- especially when you and all
of your "smart" neighbors plug your cars in at night and then wonder
why the lights went off!
