The group has been around for 4 years and has about 700 members. It
stays on topic, and the members share helpful experiences. There's no
spam or fighting, and the only posts that have ever been moderated
were by some lonely girl looking for companionship and a nigerian
business deal.

That's exactly what I mean, if the group was a bad as it has been made
out it would not have lasted.

Actually, a site like this where everyone is happy to be told only
what they want to hear has a hard core of self-important people
telling each other the same old nonsense over and over. Then, because
the information is so poor and dangerous that in the end they are
killing themselves off and someone has to go out and recruit more
people who only want to hear what they want to hear.

And what do you know, here is steve looking for more victims of self-
delusion to prop up the falling numbers.

George you idiot, you went and did it again, making me stop lurking.
Do you actually read what you "write"?

So people are killing themselves by "collecting/harvesting" rainwater
(see post subject).

"Information is so poor" it is actually killing people? I really,
really need to see some empirical evidence of that. Seriously. George
will now start obfuscating his post.

But don't worry, Georges' sock puppet Solarflare/solarflair will be
here shortly to prove that "recruit more people who only want to hear
what they want to hear." is the only bit that makes any sense at all.

You know George, you were doing so well over the past few months. But
we are willing to give you the benefit of the doubt for one more post
before we start.

George? Your turn. Yes, I know I am a usual suspect so you can skip
that part.

Ladies and Gentlemen, heeeeeeeere's George! Go on big boy, I'm waiting
for your platitudinous response.

You should reinforce that point by posting the names of the most
recently dead. And you might as well take your ghinius reasoning a
step further. Most discussion venues like Steve's won't allow
brilliance like yours to shine. Therefore, the planet's population is
slowly being killed off because the authorities are too lazy to lock
up forum moderators for their wisdumb-stifling crimes! As opposed to
Usenet, where most days we can read helpfulness such as how to use
200A rheostats, 300k wire, and water for fuel. Not to mention being
saved from electrocution by the "hundreds of volts" from
battery-charging turbines, or from a hideous death due to the improper
use of composting worms. If only the Nobel folks had a way to hear
about your life's work.
