Have you dealt with Coastal Electronics
<http://www.coastaletech.com/xm_radio_in_prius.htm> by any chance? The
portable XM radio in my Prius was stolen and I'm interested in
Coastal's offering--but they don't answer the phone or respond to
e-mails. Perhaps that's everything I need to know about the company,
but if I'm missing something I'd like to hear about it.

Thanks,

Davoud

They are notorious for not responding to email or phone calls, and for
late shipping, but I haven't heard any complaints about their products
themselves.

"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"

Products: good

Your experience: typical.

Take your chances....or not.

Unfortunately, since the summer where 3 hurricanes caused CoastalETech
to have to evacuate, their customer service has been rather lacking.
Some of it may be due to a larger family now, while some of it may be
from a larger product offering and too much product inquiry now that
the various Toyota/Lexus hybrids they support are available in much
greater numbers now... Sadly, your experience is now rather typical
for their support.

So that others know about the integrated XM options for the 2004-
current NHW20 Prius: (BTW: from what I can tell, the "satellite
ready" models just have an available button on the dash labeled "SAT,"
but all NHW20 Prius can add satellite radio...)

your favorite Toyota parts department:
2004-2005 Prius: ask for the Solara XM radio kit, part number
PT546-06040 (10 character limitation)
2006-2007 Prius: part numbers 86180-0W030 for the reciever AND
PT546-47060 for the Prius fit kit
Thanks to Jesse Wright at metrotpn.com for the part number

The 2004-2005 Prius can use the 2006 kit, but it will still only show
