We've had the '02 for almost two years. 70K miles when purchased now over
149K. We live in the mountains and drive to the valley, so it's an up and
down with a gradual decline in one direction and, of course, gradual
incline on return. 95% of the miles are highway, running 70-80mph
constant (posted speed limit varies between 65-75). The cruise control
holds it +/- 2mph. Commute is 186miles a day x 5 days = 930 per week. The
biggest factor in mileage is the quality of the fuel itself. Ongoing mpg
readout from on-board display and verified by manual calculation is
46mpg. Tire pressure at max, rotated & balanced every 5K. Not a bad ride,
but it ain't a Caddy either. Fits my wife perfectly - 5'9" and slender. I
have a snug, but not unpleasant, fit at 6'2" 187 lbs.
