Toyota is monitoring various efforts to design a vehicle that would
charge from the electrical grid in addition to on board charging, but
does not have a published proposal.

This story notes that part of the problem is the size of the device.
Small devices do not have a large ability to dissipate heat. An
automobile is not a small device.
