To those who may have been following the original posting on the Air-X this
is an update. While I am yet to hear back from the manufacturers technical
assistance department of some 2 weeks ago now (I have given up on them by
the way!) I have made contact with someone who is extremely knowledgeable on
the Air-X.
The answer to the problem of blades being furry/prickly as the result of the
casting/die process is to use some light grade 'wet & dry' and smooth out
the rough spots. This will make an improvement in the airfoil shape and
operation of the unit.
Go the true airfoil (smooth)!!
I knew my pilot's training did not go to waste even if the Air-X has nothing
to do with airplanes.
