I would think crimp ferrules would be worse. The vibration would
continually tear at the crimped metal and they have no way of being
retightened. Multiple fasteners are the answer for sure and they need
to be checked after a short time of usage and then maybe each year,
after that.
My instructions told me to turn the tail end back through the closed
loop past the open hook turnbuckles and then u-bolt again. I don't
know why they supply the open hook ends on those turnbuckles when
double closed loop units are available also.
