Is anyone else as annoyed as I am that the electronics companies seem to
love to change a product's design and internals without changing the model
number?  Case in point Linksys with routers such as the BEFW11S4.  Version 2
had a full set of status lights for each port on the front and a SMPS power
brick and version 4 was stripped down to a single row of lights and a linear
transformer power brick.  The newest one is about the GE CFLs that I have
posted about before.  I just bought 12 more and the new ones light up
instantly when given power where as the old ones preheated the filaments for
a split second.  The part that bothers me is that they both have the same
model number which is FLE26HT3/2/SW.  If anyone else has more examples of
major changes without a model number change of a product I would love to
hear them.
