Any poratble power packs that are deep discharge cells and NOT jump starters?

 I'm guessing that most of the "jump
start power packs" out there do not use
a deep discharge cell, right>? You know
the one that claim they can also be used
to power devices when camping and such?

If they are not deep discharge cells...
does anyone know if a power pack IS made
with deep discharge cell? I don't really
want to jump start a car but want
portable power for emergencies and
camping

   Buy a nice one, but don't overpay.  Use it.  When the battery goes bad
(and it will) install the battery you want it to have.  Also, pay attention
to the charger.  Most of them will have a charger built in that you should
only use in emergencies.  Use a proper automatic (preferably float) charger.

my 1000 watt inverter has had way more use than ever expected.

even deep discharge batteries dont live long, note they all have one
year warranties

 

So maybe what I want is a separate stand alone inverter
to use with ANY external battery?

 

Any small SEALED lead acid will work.
Found in 10 ah sealed used in emergency lighting.
UPS backup batts.
Weedeaters. Toy cars for small children, found at walmart
