My 24 volt charger just died so I've had to switch over to using a car
battery charger for 2 12v SLA batteries on a small electric vehicle. There
is a battery type selector for "Wet, Gell, and AGM". I'm presently using
the Gell setting but I'm wondering if I should use one of the other
settings. Suggestions?

Not likely ;-) Gel cell absorption charge is at a slightly lower voltage
than flooded and AGM absorption is at a slightly higher voltage than
flooded. The worst that you did was make it charge slower and/or left it
slightly undercharged which would only matter if you left it like that for a
few weeks. You did the right thing asking the question though.

Just curious, does anybody even make true gel cells these days?
