It’s an experimental prototype, not a product – and, judging from what
I’ve read here, it may take a considerable amount of time to develop a
product that’s adequately idiot-proof. :-D

No, because neither of those were in Rossi’s originally documented
apparatus. Lithium may have a catalytic role, but I doubt it.
