I spoke with Daryl Hannah and Charris Ford a few days ago, as part of an
interview on living off-grid and biofuels. She lives off grid with
solar, biodiesel generator, and rainwater harvesting. The interview will
be posted shortly at http://www.off-grid.net
Charris, from http://www.grassolean.com , works with Daryl promoting
biofuels, and also spoke to me about his off-grid experiences over the
years. I will be bringing out more details from both of them.

Why wait for five years when you can read about it from people who
started doing it 10 years ago?

From what I see, this design is quite dependent on the grid as it's virtual
"capacitor".

You missed their survival story during the ice storm a few years ago.
Their house was one of the only houses with power during that time. They
are selling their excess power back to the power company via metering.
Ask them about it it is truly and interesting story.
