You will. Some are switch selectable.

before you go to all the trouble of reengineering your whole 12Vdc
system, maybe you should think about buying a 24/12Vdc Switching
Regulator that would convert the output of the 24Vdc windy to 12Vdc for
your existing system, and try it out for a while.......

That's also an idea. I assume you can pick these up at any wind /
solar place ??

Look at the stuff from Solar Converters in Canada... they sell thru
distributers... lots of small effcient step up and down converters,
MPPT charge controllers etc
