Since all the flack from the election has fallen back to earth I have received
a newsletter from my Congressman who stated:

"since the obstacles to drilling in the 2,000 acres of ANWR may now be easily
removed, we will be looking for companies to bid on the development within two
years."

Generally good news for American supplies and a reduction in dependence on
foreign oil!

Seems the President is true to his promises!

Our reduction in dependence will come IN SPITE
of U.S. auto manufacturers. And George Bush feels
that that's the American Way. To be protected, instead.
Like by removing the heavyweight vehicles from the fleet
fuel economy listings

Yup, it is all those evil auto manufacturers, and has nothing to do with
what the public buys.

Thank you! If we practiced what we preached instead of waiting on everyone
else, maybe we would get somewhere.

For those who want less dependence on foreign oil, do something about it
PERSONALLY.

It will take at least eight to ten years to get that oil to market.

Drill..  find oil.. make production platforms,.. drill..
drill..drill.  Build pipeline.. refurb the worn out Alaskan pipeline
and/or build a second one all the way Valdez.

IMHO... too little and way too late.
