The current maximum effiecency for Photovoltaic cells is 22 % by Suntek.
There is a company out there call Prism Technologies that uses holograms
as a passive concentrator. They have several demo units but full
production is not expected until at
least March of 2009. Does anybody know how much this will increase the
efficiency of a solar cell ?
Thank You,
Howard

I don't know how much concentration alone increases efficiency but
the current record holder is a 3 layer cell using concentration
with a 42.8% efficiency.
