Here is an example of calculating the value of the power factor
correction capacitor.
(and a test of my Virgin Mobile cell modem's download speed, after
much fussing with it)

A 20uF 660V motor run capacitor is about the size of an old ATT
telephone handset.

For fun, I answered a Craigslist ad for one of these.

He was eager to come out and give me a demo.
I said, "Sure, but we'll be using MY wattmeters."

Never heard another peep out of him.
