Probably a bearing on the crank shaft.

Would a car dealer fix your car for free if you didn't change the
engine's oil in time? 200 hours of use for a generator is similar for
driving a car well over 16000 miles. I'm afraid your generator died
because of lack of proper maintenance.

Failure does not prove something is impossible, failure simply
indicates you are not using the right tools...
