I"ve read about pumping water with these liquid piston Stirling engines but
I don't quite get it.  Most of the illustrations show the pipe that goes to
the water source going to both the hot and cold sides of the fluidyne but
it's not clear to me what is connected and what is not.  Got any tips for
pumping water with one of these?

We're using what would otherwise be the open end of the tuning tube, but
there's no guarantee that's the best way.
