Howdy,
I have a grounding question that I hope the group can help me with, but
I better set the stage first... I have a ReadyWelder that I use around
my farm and have been quite happy with; for those who have never heard
of it, it is a neat little 24V mig welder that connects to two 12
batteries. A couple years back I built a mobile rig out of it by
welding up a cabinet to a hand truck so I can move the batteries/welder
about without disconnecting the batteries. The batteries were cheapo
Sears marine 12V's so they are now dead and I am planning an upgrade
the whole setup. I have purchased a Trace DR1524 for charging (plugged
into the grid or gen) and running power tools remotely. I am in
process of researching the best price/shipping for some gel cell
batteries. Now my question; the inverter connections call for a hard
wired DC ground and AC ground, neither of which I can provide easily in
portable use... any ideas on how to wire this inverter for my portable
power rig?
Thanks in advance
