It appears that the truth of the matter has hit a nerve.

Hahahahahaha, right on! His habit of cutting and pasting press releases
to the newsgroup instead of writing some intelligent commentary would
seem to be because his communication skills simply aren't up to it.
Graham: keep on pinching that nerve.... with any luck he'll eventually
give up his insane crusade and go away. (Please God, let it be so)

 GenCore® Systems for Backup Power

Item Code: PP/GenCore
ENSURING CONTINUOUS SERVICE AND PROTECTING CONTINUOUS REVENUE.

Rugged. Reliable. GenCore® systems represent the best solution for
optimizing your backup application - outperforming batteries and
generators without any of the associated drawbacks - and helping you
protect revenue and retain customers.

Key Benefits

ULTIMATE RELIABITY. HERE. NOW.

In addition to providing improved reliability over extended runtimes to
keep your customers satisfied, GenCore® systems reduce life-cycle
costs throughout your operation - and help drive your bottom line
growth. Other key benefits include:

All-weather operation.
VRLA batteries tend to fail after three to five years - even less in
harsh environments. GenCore is designed to operate at least 10 years,
regardless of weather extremes*, substantially reducing your
replacement costs.

Low maintenance.
GenCore systems require preventive maintenance only once every year.

Lightweight.
Simplifies installation and goes places batteries have difficulty
reaching.

Clean.
GenCore® systems not only produce zero emissions and low noise, but
because they can be re-manufactured at the end of their useful lives,
they generate fewer of the disposal and recycling costs associated with
VRLA batteries.

Easy to install and integrate.
GenCore systems are always on, and float on the DC bus like a battery.
They can be installed in parallel to, or instead of, existing battery
strings.

Markets

WHEREVER BACKUP POWER IS CRITICAL TO SUCCESS

GenCore® systems are at work in markets where backup power is critical
to business success:

Telecommunications.
Today GenCore systems are quickly replacing and augmenting VRLA
batteries as backup support for remote wireless and wireline equipment
- increasing network reliability while decreasing lifecycle costs.

Utilities.
To ensure survivability of overburdened infrastructures, the utility
industry is turning to GenCore systems to increase run hours for
critical substation control and communications systems.

UPS.
With the advent of microprocessor technology to automate remote,
unattended infrastructures, GenCore systems are ensuring continuous
power in many outside plant applications.

Government.
Within the Federal Government, GenCore systems are being deployed
across government agencies to prove how fuel cell technologies can
support the country's increasing need for security and a reliable
infrastructure.

*GenCore systems are NEBS and CE certified.

Wow! US$15,000 and they only last for ten years?
My trusty old Lister 6-1 diesel engine was built in 1935 and still going
strong.
