NO, The USA of course ( see the headers ) . The only modern country AIUI that
does not include science as an essential subject in the teaching curriculum but
loves religion and promotes it in its place.

Silly. You've obviously never heard of the long-standing policy of
separation of church and state in this country. Public schools are
forbidden from teaching/promoting religion.
When my kids went through public schools in NY, two years of science
courses were required. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough (IMHO).
