I'd say that rather neatly sums up the situation. After all, the
turbine is an important _single_point_ of failure that you can
concentrate your attention upon in your efforts to fine tune the design
for maximum reliability (that, plus, of course, it's a lot better
protected against Elk ;-)

I've been thinking about putting a salt lick up there at the pond.. no
doubt about that. Got kind of burned out on elk so didn't get one last
year but now i'm thinking 'land owners preference' tag might be in the

Ok this is pretty cool
I gave up on that damn sewer pipe and went to town to get 100 foot of 2
inch black poly. Yeah I know its probably better to use PVC but the
angles and the hill and all those fecking arsed joints and glu -- screw
that. 2 inch Black ploly can take an elk stomping on it no problemo
I get to town and hit the post office. Here in the boonies of Oregon
they don't deliver mail to your actual house -- everyone has a P.O Box so
its a deal to get your mail. Fecking 20 mile round trip. And you gotta
get there before 3:45 if you have a package.. enough bitching about that
heh I imagine its worse in Alaska
So I get down there and what the hell? I got a check from google for $05
for the stupid adverts on the homebrew hydro site -- which I've been
feeling like shite about selling out to the man but times are tough so
turns out the 100 feet of 2 inch are 90 bucks + 10 for fittings etc and
so I had 5 bucks left over for a couple of tacos at the local food stand.
so whoever clicked on that advert crap thanks a lot (i never see it
thanks to add block).. it paid for the new pipe and got me lunch.
and i'm back in business.. hydro is cranking like a mofo

Lol. Things are so tight here I might even consider voting for a Democrat
if they gave me enough money.

It won't matter anyway cause they'll just pass another tax to get it back.
