The listing says nothing about the warranty status of the generator,
and (IMO) gives false information about the generator capacity. At
that price, I would not touch it with the proverbial ten foot pole.

He's spammed every group that I read with that. Thing to do is complain to
Ebay, for
all the good it'll do.

There is somebody posting this sort of thing to numerous
newsgroups, but each item is on-topic. The poster seems to use a
different name for different newsgroups.
For example, "Ned" keeps posting links to coin auctions in
rec.collecting.coins And an interesting thing there is that some
of those coins might be misrepresented, severely overpriced, or
fake.
Then, after the action is finished, the poster follows up,
announcing the sale price.
I see two possibilities. Either this person is a shill, trying
to draw attention to sleazy auctions and drive up the bidding.
Or s/he is subtly warning about the dangers of such auctions,
with a sort of "Look at what that sleazebag is selling," followed
by, "Look how much somebody got taken for."
