The 12.5KW model found here

If I ran this all day, how many kiloWattHours would this produce...
Does a 12.5KW generator produce 12.5KW per hour??
Sorry I just need to know that math here...
Thanks,

I also looked at these units at some point. The ebay auction
3860698878 says that they were taken from railroad cars (refrigerator
cars probably). Somehow, I feel that railroads are not stupid, they
run these generators until close to the end of their useful life, 24x7
more or less. They would write them off when their life is close to
the end, because they do not want a whole railroad car full of, say,
meat (20 tons of meat worth approximately 40,000 dollars) to go bad.
So, you'd buy something that still runs, but almost completely worn
out.
That's my opinion and I will appreciate corrections.

I'd be happy to correct you. I have one of these engines. The RR
switched to thermokings, realized their mistake, and tried to buy back
the 2-71's. Ours (not rebuilt) has been very reliable, and the rebuild
kits are under $400

That's nice to hear. Do you have pictures of your unit? How long are
they expected to last?

40k hours between rebuilds is the listed life. I've got close to 400
hours on my well used unit, and the only "breakdown" was the starter.
