Ah, another know-it-all.
Fully-gassed, the EU2000i weighs ~50 lbs and is the size of a small
suitcase. It's more easily carried than a bag of water softener salt.
Even so, mine sits comfortably on a cheap hand truck and requires
practically ZERO effort to wheel it into place in an emergency. And,
since it runs 8+ hrs per gallon of gas, it doesn't need a large (and
HEAVY) amount of fuel stored to see one thru an outage of a day or two.
That's MUCH more practical for emergency use by an elderly guy with
health probs than some "fixed-mounted generator"-OVERKILL.
