I should point out that the reason those blades looked warped or distorted
is because they were spinning rather quickly when the pics were taken. I
didn't expect my phone camera to have that fast of a shutter speed! I was
kinda hoping for a "blur" effect.

The blades look like the tips are bending towards the wind. If so, they must be
losing quite a bit of power. The angle of attack of the tips is too high, it
would appear to me.
Under that wind condition, cutting the blades shorter would probably produce
more power, as would heating them and warping the tips flatter.

I wouldn't cut them short, you know why? High torque comes from wider

Unless the tips are actually adding energy to the wind, rather than taking it
from the wind.
Which seems to be the case here.

They were actually longer when I first made them and then I cut them shorter
because it seemed like the blades were actually slowing themselves down.
