I have a used Kohler 5000w model 5cm65-hs with no user manuals.
Currently, it is using gasoline, but can accept LPG and LP as well.
LP isn't an option as I do not have access to the lines. I also have
two 5 gallon propane tanks.
Two questions:
Would it run longer per 5 gallons of propane than 5 gallons of
gasoline?
Depending on the results of the first question, how do I adjust the
carb to accept the LPG?
TIA

No, because gasoline has more BTUs per gallon than propane. The advantage
to propane is that it lasts virtually forever. A standby generator with jelied
gas in the carburator tends to deliver more frustration than kilowats.

I suggest that you go to the Smokstak Kohler forum here:

Suffer through the registration, and ask your question. You will probably
find folks that know your model of generator and can actually give you an exact
answer.

Thanks!! You pretty much solved that problem with your reply about
the propane.
