There's a mistake in there btw. AFAICS they didn't use a 'true RMS' meter to
measure
current. This will tend to make the current usage of the CFL and LED bulbs look
lower
than it really is.

All bulbs should be required to have a lumens and watts rating. That's the only
way to
make a genuine comparison rather than believing manufacturers' claims.

agreed.
Given that LED lumen levels can drop if the LEDs overheat
- LED lumen output charts would be nice too.
But can you believe the price the LED light bulb? :-0

Well, the efficiency drops with heat by quite some degree, so at maximum output
the
efficiency may be only 60% of the optimum level but the sales blurb rarely
mentions that.
Also the most efficient white LEDS are the ones with the highest colour
temperature which
isn't pleasant for home illumiation.

Individual LED chips are getting a lot better. Osram recently announced some new
ones but of
course I've lost the link !
I found one, not the one I was looking for but claiming 50 lumens / W.
