As noted previously.

Looks like a long exposure. Appears the LED lights don't do much. The
surroundings look illuminated also.

ISO 200

Long exposures are typified by grainy appearance. The more noise the
longer the exposure.

The background is illuminated... by LED lamps at top of book shelves.
Notice 3 bright points at top of photo. MR16 package, 48 LEDs, Warm
white.  Desk lamp is a strip of 15 Leds.

The blurring of the reflected light off the desk makes it look like
the photo was done with high ISO and a long shutter setting.

how reliable or practicle they eventually will be only time will tell

Photo was photoshopped to match actual visual. As I am not selling
lamps I have nothing to gain from faking results.

Hmmm. Close to $80 and still uses power when off. The desk lamp in the
photo cost less than $20 and uses no power when off.
