Most of their engines used a modular approach. They could build one,
two, three, etc. variations using many of the same parts.

Like the gentleman said, at the very worst, it's better to have it
rusting at your house than being sent to China for scrap.

At the best, it would be an interesting rebuild project. Lister and
Lister/Petter have a long history. I'm building up a six horsepower
Lister clone. It's a seven hundred pound single cylinder diesel that
revs all the way to six hundred rpm.

I've lusted after one of those for years.. if it's not too expensive go for
it.  If nothing else it can rust on your place rather than some where else
