Would you be running the a/c in a backup situation? And yes, it can bump
up the load a lot, and may also have a considerable start-up surge.
You really need to measure (with a wattmeter or clamp-on ammeter) your
loads if you are trying to set things up properly.

You will be burning alot more fuel than you think and the cost will
suprise you you should research that before committing. You could
spend 20-60+ a Day in fuel at times

Yes! This is one reason why I use a smaller generator. Even with my
little 4 kW Onan, if I ran it 24/7 I would end up with a gas bill that is
several times larger than my electric bill. If I had more generator, I
would burn more fuel per day.
Compared to anything you can generate yourself, grid electricity is the
best bargain you will ever get.
