I have a 3KW home electric generator, it run on petrol.
Is it possible to Modify this electric generator to run on LPG(or

IF you can find a LP or NG carburetorfor the engine, then you can make
that change. There are a few trifuel carburetors which can handle LP,
NG, and gasoline.
Expect to pat half the the price of the generator (or more) if someone
else does the modification for you.

A kit will run you about $250, and doesn't require carb mods. Just
insert a venturi between the air cleaner and carb. It's about a 30
minute install. http://www.uscarb.com/

Yes, it sort of depends on how good you're with engines, you can do it
your self or buy a kit from a place like:

Good luck,

Here you go: http://www.propane-generators.com/
The nice thing about propane is that you can store it forever without worry of
it "going bad".
