He already has the hookup for NG.  We need to know about the Genset
not the fuel.

You pay $0 above your gas bill just to have a generator?

 No.
We pay about $0 per month to has a gas service to the house same as any
utility. The meter and the connections cost money even if you do not use
them.

I was under the impression the OP was considering getting a gas connection
to facilitate this.

NG may be expensive to just sit there hooked up and ready to go 24/7 x 365
per year. We pay about $0 per month to just look at it and then add usage
after.

YES JOSEPITRI YOU HAS BEEN UNDER TNE RIGHT IMPRESSION..HE INTENDS TO
USE NG TO RUN HIS GENERAC.
IT IS RELATIVELY CHEAPER THAN OTHER AVAILABUBBLE FUELS PLUS IT MAY BE
GASED BY THE BBQ TANK IN THE EVENT OF A BREAK IN THE LINE, FOR HOW
LONG I CANT SAY..THOSE NG GENERATORS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A WHILE.

If he thinks that he can use a BBQ tank to run a 12Kw Genset for any
length of time, he needs to rethink that issue.... More than likely he
will freeze up the tank in the first 10 minutes of operation
