Hi all, just bumped into this group. I'm on 16 acres of steep ground
in southern Oregon, been here since 93, kero lamps and a little shack
on up to a insulated pole-framed cabin (900sf, still call it a cabin),
and a 38x42 pole (the hand skinned fir type) shop. Have a PM hydro
(windblue unit) doing around 20 amps, 2x 130w and a 80w panels, 12v (I
know, I know), several inverters, a dozen L16s, set up in two
seperated banks, one for the house (4 batts), one for the shop (8
batts). I am working on another alternator (220 amp LN with a XAR
regulator), to replace the Delco 22SI I fried on my Kubota ZB600 that
also powers a hydraulic pump for my 30" bandsaw, and 15x60 old
sebastian metal lathe. Toying around with a Kubota EL-300, that I'm
thinking of putting another PM alt on just for backup to the hydro.
Good summer water so far, winter storms play havoc with the intake.
Guess that's a start for the intro, anyone else using these Kubotas?
Or chat about alternators?

Nice one man!  My wind blue based hydro only hits 7 amps if i'm lucky.
I'm down in Southern O as well on the coast off the grid ..

I hear you that last big gully washer nailed my intake pretty good.
Still trying to build/design the perfect intake for all conditions.  And
still will be when i'm pushing up daisies no doubt.

Sadly i'm clueless about kubotas.

I did have a GM 22SI lying around somewhere though

I hate to say this but are you familiar with the use of paragraphs ?

What you wrote looks potentially interesting but faced with solid blocks
of text, I tend to just advance to the next post. Which I am doing now.

Sorry Polefarmer, "Eeyore" only speaks for himself, and is best ignored.

Welcome!
