If you try to get the necessary potassium from KI pills, you'll
probably  be dead in less than a week.

"Iodine Poisoning Symptoms"

One of the reasons why Japan is not distributing the "real-deal" KI
pills in Japan.   Is that single the 130milli-gram KI adult dosage
would trigger hidden thyroid crises in 1 to 2 % of the general
population.  Thus Triggering a massive patient influx on the
hospitals.

The other reason, japanese consume significant amounts of kelp in the
diet(8x iodine RDA), giving most of them a natural thyroid block
against I-131 exposure.

Note: 1 to 2% thyroid crisis/complication rate would NOT be an issue
after N-war, where few-hospitals left and most would  die in transit.

"Thyroid protection due to nuclear accidents and emergencies"

In that single dosage adult emergency pill, approximately 30
milligrams of potassium is associated 100mg(700 times RDA) of Iodine.

In order to satisfy just one days intake of Potassium.. one would
consume 50 to 100 of these pills a day!!  Those levels of iodine
consumption would kill fairly quickly.

---

FYI:  Over the counter KI nutritional supplement pills contain dosage
in the low microgram range.. 500x  to 1000x less than a single
"real-deal"  KI pill.   I.E. Not an effective source for either
potassium nor  iodine after the big one.

----

For non-lethal (cesium-137 free) over the counter sources of
Potassium.

Try Nu-Salt salt substitute... (100% KCl. Potassium Chloride).
Or Morton Salt-lite (50% NaCl (Sodium Chloride), 50 % KCl Potassium
Chloride).

Well, Actually the Supplement KI dosages, I purchased, the day after the
earthquake, to supplement my Full Adult Dosage Radiation Emergency KI
Tabs, that are in my First Aid Box, were 13mg Iodine Tabs, in 100 count
bottles. This would supply 10 Full Adult Dosages, which would handle one
Adult, thru any Radiological Release for Iodine, which has an 8 Day
Half-Life. This takes into consideration that the Radiological Iodine
production basically stopped once the reactor was scrammed, and it took
three days for the first RadioIsotopes to reach "Me" here in alaska. I
am ALSO over 60 years old so, any Radiological Iodine really isn't going
to effect "Me", as I will be long in the ground, before the Physical
Damage from such exposure would begin to manifest.

Hey Keating.  Thanks for coming back!  Before we read your new stuff, we still
need amplification on some of the other stuff you have been posting.  The most
important of which is your post:

Please point us to the scientific source where you got that information about
the two years loss of lifespan.  After all, this is pretty startling
information.  The world needs to know!

Thanks!
Vaughn
