I don't know what Planet your on, but here on Earth, Antifreeze is
either, Ethylene Glycol, or Propylene Glycol. Methanol is used as
an AntiWatering Agent in Gasoline Fuel Systems, as it is missable
in both Gasoline and water. Maybe that is what you are discribing.....

You snipped the lead-in to David Williams' post. Let me quote it:

Taken in context, it is clear that "The antifreeze" is "gas line
antifreeze". Here on planet Earth, I'm not aware of using Ethylene
Glycol or Propylene Glycol as a gas line antifreeze. However,
products such as HEET:
