Possible root causes:
1) Air leak, check the door rubbers for damages in detail, and chech for proper
closing of the door.
2) Cold "leak" a crack in the isolation, feel for cold spots on the outside of
the fridge, the door as well.
3) Reduced cooling capacity mostly caused by a loss of colling "gas" in the
cooling circuit.
For a very old fridge I would replace the fridge, this can only be repaired by a
specialist.
