Please take your political spam and your "blog" and pack it all "where the
sun don't shine". If you wish to discuss politics, there are thousands of
political boards and groups out there where you would be welcome. So why
are you here?

Just a thought after reading the "Spam" thread.
OTOH, if the header was labeled "OT" (off topic), I have read some
pretty smart people's posts in this group and I would find the regulars
posts of interest.
On second thought, with some of the acrimony I've observed in here...
Never mind.

Aren't you the mouthpiece that was telling people to dump Google because you
don't see all the spam?
"As it turns out, I didn't even see the spam you are complaining about. I
use plain 'ole Outlook Express, which allows me to do basic filtering on key
spam title words such as "Paypal" and various common brands of shoes and
watches. This gets perhaps 50% of the crap. Better yet, I have been using
a free news server "news.eternal-september.org" the last few weeks, and
they have been doing the spam filtering for me! Why a free service can do
what the great Google can't seem to manage, I will leave to your
imagination.
Dump Google Groups!
