And I'll bet his solution is to build nuclear reactors.

Nope, I think he is saying don't be clouded by renewable and green
issues and keep an open mind.
Nuclear power uses less space than renewables so if you take space as a
green or renewable (space is limited) issue then nuclear could be
classed as greener than it is.
To save the earth we may have to consider changing some our prejudices

And in the detail that the courts have required on nuke, hydroelectric
dams,coal/ng electric plants.
Because we wouldn't won't the public to think there is any less research on
possible harm from renewable as is
required on other energy sources.
Senator Kennedy has seemed to be leading the pack with that level of
research on environmental impact from renewables in his home state.
Like on Nantucket windmills.....

Really ? I thought the Indians were close to a thorium reactor.
I also heard the USA offered them cheap uranium fuel to discourage them from
using thorium.

Hmm, seems like I stand corrected. I'we had the impression that
Thorium power plants were quite a few years off. If India makes good
reactors, I guess Norway can sell Thorium to central europe and other
places where it's needed. If we are realy lucky, we may get Thorium
reactors in Norway aswell.
