You mean like the upright clear thinking that acknowledges that one is
writing, by definition, for an audience, and that typing in ALL CAPS
makes reading more difficult, and illustrates the writer's narcissism,
social ineptitude and laziness? :)~

That's all you needed to say. The part about you just wanting to vent
and not caring about being heard is apparent.
Remember - it's always the other guy's fault. Always. Whatever you
want to do, and however you want to do it, it is always the correct
way no matter what other people say. In fact, it's the only way and
all other ways are simply inconceivable.
You're good enough, you're smart enough, and darn it, people like you!
-- Stuart Smalley
But, just in case you are open to the idea that you are still capable
of learning (like that upright clear thinking thing you mentioned),
and that it wouldn't threaten your manhood or intelligence to receive
feedback which is without malice, there's this from Wiki's article on
all-caps:
"Studies have been conducted on the readability and legibility of all
caps text. Some 20th century scientific testing indicates that all
caps text is less legible and less readable than lower case text.
Colin Wheildon stated that there is an "apparent consensus" that lower
case text is more legible.[2]"
And then there's this:
http://www.dsbn.edu.on.ca/Schools/eLearning/courses/tutorials/egc/Readabili=
ty/default.htm
"Readability & Legibility
The main purpose of formatting is to increase readability and
legibility.
Readability
How easy is it to read text–especially in long sentences and paragraph
form–is called readability. A Serif font , such as Times New Roman,
increases readability but decreases legibility.
Legibility
How easy it is to distinguish between letters is called legibility.
Sans Serf fonts like Arial increases legibility but decreases
readability. Titles and Sub Titles are normally short, and therefore
readability is not as important as legibility. Hence, they are written
in a Sans Serif font to increase legibility. all caps increases
legibility but decreases readability. Street signs are normally in all
caps (e.g. a STOP sign)."
See? You think you're increasing legibility, but everything on a
newsgroup is in a set font and there's already perfect legibility.
You are impairing your readability due to either laziness or a
misconception. Which is it? Do you care? How does sticking to a
preconceived notion, one that is clearly in error, rank on the upright
and clear thinking scale?

You really are adorable. Please continue with your upright clear
thinking. :)~

PS I'll ignore your all-caps peccadillo if you'll do me a favor and
stop murdering the language and using words in a tortured and
unnatural manner. Thanks.

One can always hope.
Language torture should have been included in the Geneva Convention.
Unless the person torturing the language is Norm Crosby - then it
might be funny, but I'm pretty sure he's dead.
Waterboarding of words is torture.
INSITE
NAME-CALLING FOR THEIR OWN DISPLEASURE
TO ENHANCE THEIR VANE USELESS
OOZING RANCOROUS FLUIDITY AND MUCKING UP OUR INTERFACE.
And this is simply assault:
IT WAS A TRICKY TIME FOR THE STATE OF HUMAN EXPRESSION, IN THAT THOUGH
MEN PURSUED UNDERSTANDING IN A DIFFERENT WAY THAN THE USUAL MEDIEVAL
NORM, THEY IGNORED BIBLICAL REVELATION AND REVEALED TRUTHS.
Revealed truths. Ah, that's got it. Revealed truths, of course - it
explains a whole, pardon me, host of symptoms we're seeing.
"Step right up and see what's behind the curtain, folks! Truths
revealed!" ;)

From an uninterested spectator. When I see posts in all caps, the
instant reaction is "Nut case, ignore the message".
