Wow! You must have a pretty popular site going on there. This is a case
where I see no particular problem with "selling out".

What is your site address, I think that I visited it once, and would
like to have a look at what you have done.
I am just north of you in BC. I assume the rain/wind storm that you
spoke of was last weekend. We had a couple of inches of water as well.
A great opportunity for hydro for sure.

That was a nice little storm no? I like the ones that come off the
pacific near hawaii -- thus 'pineapple express'. Its like 60F+ outside
and lashing down the rain. Much nicer than those 40 degree storms we get
in mid winter ;)

There are those further east that wouldn't find 40F winter storms to be a
problem.
