Does anyone have any personal experience with the Arctic Cat 7.5 KW home
generator? It's engine is manufactured by Suzuki. Pros/cons...problems...I'd
like to hear your thoughts.

Same goes for the Coleman 10 KW "Industrial" generator that is sold by
Menards, Ace Hardware etc.

Noise? Reliability? Factory support problems? Manufacturing flaws?

Pros/cons...problems...I'd

I would worry more about the engine than the generator considering your
choices.
Most small gensets, below 12 kw are 3600 rpm units with marginal mufflers.
As long as you do not overload the unit, you will have power when you need
it.
If power is an issue I would be looking into a 1800 rpm unit, water cooled.
These are usually larger than 12 kw and have frequency controls.
Remember gas and diesel both go bad. So run the engines at least once a
week. Put synthetic oil in the engines and change the oil per manufactures
schedule.
I have an old Pincor with an B&S engine. Never rebuilt, head done once, and
it is pushing 30 years old. I use Amsoil and change it every 50 hours.

Get a 1800 Rpm Diesel and save yourself a pile of grief, pain, and noise.

The engines you are looking at probably wont last more than 3000 hrs, it
depends on what kind of use it will see, for  an ocasional storm or tree
down its ok.
1800 rpm gas may go 14000 hrs
