The previous owner had smoked all the tread and some of the cords off
the rear tire (as we cheered him on) before he crashed the bike. It
turns out he crowned the rear tire perfectly for a bandsaw. I had a
hard time grinding enough rubber off the unworn front tire to make a
flat for the blade.
